Bioactive compounds, antioxidant and physic-chemical characteristics of the dovyalis fruit Agronomy
Rotili, Maria Cristina Copello; Villa, Fabíola; Braga, Gilberto Costa; França, Daiane Luckmann Balbinotti de; Rosanelli, Solivan; Laureth, Jessica Cristina Urbanski; Silva, Daniel Fernandes da.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the bioactive compounds, antioxidant activity, and physicochemical characteristics of dovyalis fruit to obtain technological knowledge about this fruit when grown under the conditions found in the municipality of Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paraná State, Brazil. Dovyalis fruits from the State University of Western Parana, which was established in 2012, were harvested in March 2016. Dovyalis fruits were collected from several plants and were divided among three lots. After the harvest, were immediately taken to the Post-Harvest Laboratory for evaluation of the antioxidant activity by the DPPH, ABTS and FRAP methods. The physicochemical characteristics of the fruits and the total phenolic compounds, flavonoids,...

Destination and reuse of by products from olive oil extraction Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Medeiros, Rosalina Marangon Lima; Villa, Fabíola; Silva, Daniel Fernandes da; Cardoso Filho, Luciana Resende.
The waste obtained from olive oil extraction process are by products generated in different ways and composition, according to the used extraction equipment, the olive variety and the fruit maturity. In the olives pressing traditional process, using continuous three-phase process, the waste produced comprise the liquid portion (vegetation water) + solid portion (solid waste). The olive solid portion to suffer new extraction produces the oil residue, while the aqueous residue is usually discarded without control, causing various environmental problems. When using a two-phase system for oil production, the problem is eliminated, resulting in a new waste, known as ‘alperujo’ and water vegetation. The industries of olive extraction are trying to invest in...

Field development of physalis species produced in different shading levels Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Villa, Fabíola; Mezzalira, Éder Junior; Piva, André Luiz; Silva, Daniel Fernandes da; Silva, Luciana Sabini da.
The objective of this work was to verify the fixation and development in the field and later production of Physalis seedlings species produced in different levels of shading. The treatments were composed by Physalis seedlings formed in different environment with shading and four species. The conduction system adopted was “V”. The seedlings survival rate, number of internodes, flowers number, number of fruit per plant, average fruit biomass per plant, yield and titratable acidity of fruits were evaluated. At the end of the production period, the stem diameter was evaluated. The experimental design was a randomized blocks, 4 x 4 factorial scheme (cultivation environments x species), with four replications. Seedlings produced in an environment of 25% were the...

The production of Physalis spp. seedlings grown under different-colored shade nets Agronomy
Silva, Daniel Fernandes da; Pio, Rafael; Soares, Joyce Dória Rodrigues; Nogueira, Paulyene Vieira; Peche, Pedro Maranha; Villa, Fabíola.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the production of seedlings of Physalis L. species under different-colored shade nets. Four shade nets individually stained white, blue, red and black, all with 50% shading, were used in this study, and an additional  treatment (control) was used in which seedlings were grown in full sun. The study examined four species of Physalis, namely, P. peruviana, P. pubescens, P. minima and P. ixocarpa. The experiment followed a randomized block design with three blocks and 25 seeds per plot. The species were sown in styrofoam trays. Germination was monitored daily to calculate the Emergency Velocity Index (EVI) and stabilize the overall percentage of emergence. Height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area index and...
